Founder : Leo J Rooney II

I’m a Lehigh Valley native who grew up in the Borough of Fountain Hill. I attended Saints Cyril & Methodius School, graduated from Liberty High School, and later earned degrees with honors from both Kutztown University and Lehigh University, studying Criminal Justice and Political Science. My education and lived experiences led me to question how systems actually impact people in the real world, especially the people too often ignored, overlooked, or left behind by those systems.

I live at the intersection of public policy, human behavior, leadership, and institutional accountability. My work has never simply been about building a resume or collecting titles. It has been driven by a desire to understand why certain systems fail people, why dysfunction becomes normalized, and why meaningful reform is often resisted even when the problems are obvious. Whether in government, nonprofits, workforce development, media, or advocacy spaces, I’ve consistently focused on identifying gaps between what organizations say they value and what they are actually willing to implement.

A large part of my work centers around communication, strategy, and relationship building. The core of my work centers on a belief that trust, transparency, and accountability matter. I care deeply about strengthening communities, expanding opportunity, improving mental health support systems, and helping people navigate institutions that can often feel cold, disconnected, or performative. I’m passionate about workforce development and mentorship. I fear too many young people are pushed into systems that teach them how to survive instead of helping them succeed.

I’ve developed a reputation for being someone willing to ask uncomfortable questions, challenge conventional thinking, and push conversations beyond surface-level talking points. I believe real leadership requires honesty, adaptability, emotional intelligence, and the willingness to confront difficult realities rather than simply protect appearances or maintain broken systems.

Mental health advocacy and community engagement have also remained personal priorities for me. Serving for the National Alliance on Mental Illness of the Lehigh Valley and broader community initiatives, I’ve seen firsthand the disconnected between institutions and needs go unaddressed. Those experiences only strengthened my belief that sustainable change is required.

I’m deeply curious, creative, and probably more stubborn than I should be when it comes to fighting for things I believe matter. I care about building authentic relationships, creating meaningful dialogue, and finding practical ways to improve systems that too often prioritize optics over outcomes. I believe communities become stronger when people are willing to listen, think critically, and work together with shared purpose, even when the conversations are difficult.
